Re: Cannot use AAM, had to install it separately, now I cannot update any of the apps.

It seems to me, having read all of this, that the cloud / manager is seriously flawed.  I'm paying a monthly fee for stuff that works haphazardly and that is SERIOUS violation of my trust.  Adobe should FIX THE ISSUE and not depend upon the users spending hours playing with stuff that is paid for and should work.
