I ran through all the debig sets on this I could.  I deleted the oobe directory, I uninstalled the app, I logged out and logged back in.  Tried to log in with different users.  It is still completely and totally stuck.  I have no idea how to get past this point?

Thanks,

David.

Is the Operating System Up to date?

Windows or Mac?

Mac and yes the os is up to date.  Just uninstalled, deleted the entire adobe directory and restarted, still stuck in updating.  Are there logs or something that could give some idea of what it is doing?  It just says Updating creative cloud, no progress marker or anything either.

Follow below steps :

Step 1)

Navigate to Applications>Utiliites.

Locate Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Application Manager folder under Utilities window and trash both folders.

Step 2)

Click on the below link and download & run Adobe Cleaner tool :

If present Select the option "Adobe Application Manager or Adobe Creative Cloud " and then click on "Clean up Selected" .

not all are available.

Single user licensee downloadable installation files available:

  • Download and installation help for Adobe links

  • Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages.  They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3.  If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'.

And a big thank you to Jim @ Prodesigntools for helping me with these links!

I resolved this problem by doing the following: (hopefully this will help others finding this page via Google)

Step 1

Logout of Adobe CC desktop

Step 2

Open up Go to Folder

shortcut: cmd+shift+g
or finder > go to folder

copy/paste this exactly don't miss the squiggle (tilde):
~/Library/application support/adobe

Rename the following folders
[AAMUpdater] rename to > [OLD_AAMUpdater]
[OOBE] rename to >  [OLD_OOBE]

Step 3

copy/paste this exactly without the tilde:

/Library/application support/adobe

Rename the following folders

[AAMUpdater] rename to [OLD_AAMUpdater]

[AAMUpdaterInventory] rename to [OLD_AAMUpdaterInventory] You'll need to enter your password to auth.

DOn't worry, Adobe will regenerate these files as soon as you log back in. If you want to be extra cautious you can always copy the folders elsewhere before you do it.

Step 4

Log back into Adobe CC desktop and it should all be working now.

Cleanup step (not necessary but recommended)
Go back to the above locations and delete the files you renamed OLD as new folders will now have been generated.

Good luck!

Ok thanks for the update Kristiank89091160.  The fact that you had to utilize a direct download points to not being able to contact the necessary Adobe servers.

Kristiank89091160 please ask whoever manages your network to review https://helpx.adobe.com/content/dam/help/attachments/Creative_Cloud_for_enterprise_Service _Endpoints.pdf it provides complete details on the necessary servers, and ports, needed to download, install, and utilize a Creative Cloud membership.  By resolving the connection error you will be to download newer versions that are not currently available for direct download.

Maarten4132652 you can find a current status for Creative Cloud services at Adobe System Status

The most helpful information you can provide to the ISP would be a traceroute for each of the addresses listed.  That will help indicate where the failure lies that is preventing connection to the necessary servers.

Alternately, you may want to look at utilizing an alternate Internet connection to download, instal, and activate the Adobe software.

How to use previous premiere pro versions? Installed 11.0.1 but defaults 11.2.1 when launching

I noticed my premiere pro updated in August and it changed the interface. I'd rather not spend a lot of time learning the new one. I've tried several times installing the previous version but when I launch it, it defaults to 11.2.1 is there something I'm missing.

you install older versions from the Adobe CC app... ime on windows systems they are better if you only have one version of each app installed so you don't mix them up

I've did that I believe but how do I launch the previous version I installed. Like I have tried to install 11.0.0 and 11.0.1 but then it it goes back to 11.2.1 when I try to launch it.
